38. HOMER ERVIN5 CAIN (LUKE ERVIN4, JOHNFRANCIS MARION3, JAMES J.2, JOHNMANNING1) was born October 09, 1897 in Gwinnett Co. Ga., and died October 04, 1970 in Gwinnett Co. Ga. Buried Luxomni Bapt Cemetery, of which church they were members.   He married GLADYS ARNOLD December 07, 1919 in Gwinnett Co. Ga., daughter of JOHNNY ARNOLD and EDDIE WRIGHT.

Homer was a farmer and carpenter; member of the Masons, Sweetwater Lodge.  He grew up in the Cain homestead, Pleasant Hill road, Gwinnett Co. Ga.   He and Gladys lived across the street from the homeplace after they married, and their children were raised there, and had the benefit of their grandparents and homeplace right across the street.

Gladys attended Bethesda School and was a classmate of both Verda and Pearl Sorrells, and Esther Cain.

39.ELMER ALLEN [ELMER LUKE]5 CAIN (LUKE ERVIN4, JOHN FRANCIS MARION3, JAMES J.2, JOHN MANNING1) was born January 27, 1900 in Gwinnett Co. Ga., and died June 13, 1972 in Ga,  Fulton Co.   He married DOVIE MAE HAZELRIGS December 19, 1920 in Gwinnett Co. Ga., daughter of JAMES HAZELRIGS and ROSSIE HOLT.  Dovie was born 10 November 1901, Gwinnett Co. Ga. and died 12 March 1984 in Crawford W. Long Hospital, Atlanta, Fulton Co. Ga.

Elmer Allen Cain was his birth name. He later changed it to Elmer Luke Cain.   He and Dovie are buried in Luxomni Baptist Church Cemetery where they were members.  Elmer was a house builder and master carpenter.  He founded Cain Bros., Lilburn, a building and supply firm as I understand it.  He was a Mason, grew up in Gwinnett Co. Ga .  and lived in Tucker, DeKalb Co. Ga. to raise the family.
