40. LEONARD HARRIS⁵ CAIN (LUKE ERVIN⁴, JOHNFRANCIS MARION³, JAMES J.², JOHNMANNING¹) was born August 21, 1904 in Gwinnett Co. Ga., and died November 23, 1979 in Gwinnett Co. Ga. Buried Sweetwater Bapt Churchyard. He married WINNIE D. GUTHRIE December 20, 1930 in Gwinnett Co. Ga. He was a member of Sweetwater Lodge #421, F&AM. Gwinnett Co. He was a farmer and carpenter. Sometime after his parents died, Leonard and Winnie moved into the Cain homeplace and lived there until 1973, at which time, they moved to Bob Hannah Circle off Pleasant Hill Road, into a brand new house which Robert had built for them.
WINNIE D. GUTHRIE is a housewife, mother, and spearheaded the effort to save Sweetwater Baptist chapel from extinction. She married (2) MINOR CORLEY; they lived in Duluth, Ga. Minor is deceased now. Winnie Cain Corley died September 3, 2004, Lawrenceville, Gwinnett Co. Ga.
