Bush went to school in Bethesda Community.  When she and Will first married, they farmed for a few years in Gwinnett County.  In 1921 they moved to Atlanta, where Will was a maintenance man for Atlantic Ice and Coal Company.

Will and Bush were the witnesses to the marriage of Verda Estelle Sorrells (298), and John Rufus Cain on 7 August 1921, Gwinnett County.  Bush was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Atlanta, and was always active in the church.  She still lived  in the same house in Atlanta from  1921 until she died 24 October 1987.  Some things never change, and one can remember many good times in that house.  Bush was always interested in the family history and collected much valuable data over the years.  This helped the compiler, her niece, greatly.

297     MARGIE PEARL 6 SORRELLS  (Thomas W. 5, Wm.  Benjamin 4, Wiley3, William2, Richard), born 13 December 1900, Gwinnett County.  She married (1) ERNEST DEWITT WOFFORD (b. 26 Sept. 1899, Forsyth Co. Ga; d. 26 Sept. 1965, Atlanta), son of Dixie Blackstock and Truman J. Wofford, on 25 September 1921.  DeWitt was a carpenter; buried in West View Cemetery in Atlanta.

Pearl attended Bethesda School  then taught school in Gwinnett County in 1917.  She attended A & M School, Monroe, Georgia, graduating in 1921 with the highest honors.  She then married DeWitt and they moved to Atlanta in 1921. They lived in the West End section of Atlanta for a long time, and I would see them regularly, because I attended Joe Brown Junior High in West End and lived with my sister to help her out during the week since she was sick for a long time.

In 1950, my mother and I moved into the other side of the same house with DeWitt, Pearl, and Ben, their son.  I took my first job across the street, Blackwell's Grocery, from their house.  It was a Mom and Pop grocery store, and I learned a lot there from Mr. and Mrs. Blackwell.

Aunt Pearl was a sweet dispositioned, pleasant woman who was very Godly in her life.  She taught these ideals and values to her children and also to me.  She was so devoted to her faith that she was an inspiration to others, and she lived by her faith.

Pearl married (2) HARTWELL YOUNG ALLGOOD (b. 22 Mar: 1889; d. 8 Nov. 1985) on 24 April 1970.  Mr Allgood was a retired car mechanic and also worked some years as a grounds man for Ramada Inn, Chamblee, Georgia.  Mr. Allgood had children and grandchildren by  his first marriage. He and Pearl lived in Atlanta and were members of the Assembly of God church.
